Findings

The campaign frames Macron’s policies as a threat to France’s future1. On 12 March, three forged videos used Le Figaro, Le Point and RSF branding to claim that citizens and journalists were leaving France2. Macron’s own framing is the reverse: supporting Ukraine protects French security3. Track how often wider debate repeats the “France at risk” claim, separately from views on sending troops.

Still open: which messages reached new audiences, and whether shifts in public stances followed exposure to them.
